I am a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics at Emory University. My research uses microeconometric methods to study how human-capital investments and labor-market institutions shape economic opportunity — often in Latin American settings such as Peru and Ecuador.

Born and raised in Cusco, Peru, I am a first-generation college graduate. Before starting my doctorate I worked on labor-market and education policy in Peru, and I co-founded EconThaki, an initiative that supports underrepresented students pursuing economics.
